What can i see with a 10" dobsonian | Space.com Forums
I use a 90-mm refractor telescope (since 1991) and an Orion XT10i mounted on a dobsonian (since 2018). Easy to compare the views The 10-inch Newtonian reflector shows brighter images and fainter targets than my 90-mm refractor telescope and I see more moons at Saturn in the 10-inch vs. 90-mm refractor.

Orion ST80 vs Celestron Skymaster 25x100 | Space.com Forums
What would you suggest buying for 1st time novice beginner ? Orion ST80 ( telescope ) or Celestron Skymaster 25x100 ( binoculars ) ?? Which will give better coverage for sky, better & further images clear bigger images. I heard it is better to buy a binoculars than a telescope 1st

Better Telescope? - Space.com Forums
Also noticed Orion has a 2X Barlow lens> sorta' a supercharger for amplyfying the IMAGE U will observe from your basic F/4 telescope> F/4 means Focal length is 4 times C.A. or only 18" to keep scope length short b/c the image produced by the primary has to be in a position where your eyepiece can observe it> The MSS had a 4 foot (48") focal ...

Starship is the lander for Artemis. Something doesn't add up.
NASA's Artemis program incorporates spacecraft like Orion for crew transportation and re-entry, Gateway for lunar orbit research and staging, and Capstone for technology demonstrations. This approach leverages international collaboration, accommodates varying mission objectives, and considers development timelines and progress.

Stargazing Betelgeuse will be visible as a Supernova in March of 2025
The problem is the people of Ligo could not pin-point the location of the gravity wave burst yet they have stated it may have come from the Orion Constellation where Betelgeuse resides. Gravity waves when traveling through space do not bend around stars as does light, therefore gravity waves would arrive at earth before a Supernova flash.

Hidden NASA/ESA code - Orion parachute (prelaunch Artemis)
In a recent pre-launch video that explained the detail of the Artemis mission, I found a hidden code in the Orion module parachute. When decoded it reads “Eiffel Tower” - this is a nod to the ESA who is a significant contributor to NASA’s Moon mission.

night sky - Space.com Forums
the orion points his weapon at taurus the bull's eye and from there you could walk in the night sky in a circle round the year to find 12 zodiac signs leo is awesome, virgo is excellent, libra and scorpio fine by then my exams were coming so i paid little attention to the next ones - sagittarius, acquaris, pieces and aries ... well actually we ...

Question - I saw a string of 25 to 30 satellites last night, I could ...
In approximately a 15-minute span I probably saw between 20 and 30 of them appear and disappear in the same trajectory. As I recall they appeared just to the west of Orion's belt then a little west of Beetlejuice and then through Gemini continuing on to the ENE. The only reason I happen to see them is that I was checking out Venus and the Stars.

In a space mission, how many people are needed in the space vehicle ...
The asteroids are good. I imagine 8, increasing Orion's volume by 4x with an alumina hull and ion engines, for a one-way (ship) to Jupiter. A pilot. A doctor. A nanotecher. An electrical and ion engine systems mechanic. A miner (if lander science not there) or in-situ caves, construction engineer. A laser and radar communications expert.

Question How do stars form? - Space.com Forums
"Where can we see the birth of stars?" A good question in my thinking is asked here. My answer, the most common locations are giant molecular gas clouds like M42 in Orion are tossed around in the literature and reports. However, *see* is the problem. No astronomers observe or *see* a gas cloud contradict into a ZAMS plot on the H-R diagram.
