Hubble Space Telescope - NASA Science
From the planets in our solar system to the far reaches of the cosmos, explore NASA's Hubble Space Telescope's three decades of discoveries.
Hubble Space Telescope - Wikipedia
Hubble was launched on STS-31 in 1990, but its main mirror had been ground incorrectly, resulting in spherical aberration that compromised the telescope's capabilities. The optics were corrected to their intended quality by a servicing mission, STS-61, in 1993. Hubble is the only telescope designed to be maintained in space by astronauts.

Hubble Space Telescope (HST) | History, Discoveries, & Facts - Britannica
Hubble Space Telescope, the first sophisticated optical observatory placed into Earth’s orbit. Some of its many triumphs included the Hubble Deep Field, a photograph of about 1,500 galaxies revealing galactic evolution, and the discoveries of Hydra and Nix, small moons orbiting the dwarf planet Pluto.

Hubble Space Telescope - National Air and Space Museum
The Hubble Space Telescope ushered in a new era of studying the universe. Hubble captures images of space that can’t be taken from Earth. Hubble detects ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared light. Hubble has captured stunning images. It has also carried tools such as spectrographs to gather more data. Astronomers use images and other data from Hubble to tackle big questions, like how ...
